The lake wasn’t pink it was green-brown and it smelt like sewerage however that is to be expected in high summer as the lake dries out.I think the area could be improved with a safe place to stop and park away from the road, signage to enable you to slow down from 110km to stop in time, a walk path around it and maybe some revegetation.

The Pink Lake of Quairading is an interesting location. The Lake turns pink in colour when it dries up during certain times of the year. It is also a very good place for stargazing with the only major light pollution source coming from Perth, over 200km away.

It was a loss project of going there with the aim of seeing pink lake or similar.But the “Quairading” is so beautiful to roam around. Will go again just to look around and enjoy the city views, farming and explore the history.

Pink Lake оказалось вовсе не пинк. Больше было похоже на Ржавчина lake. Хотя может быть цвет воды зависит от поры года. Специально ехать точно не надо. Но можно заехать по дороге из Перта на Wave Rock.
